VialTrace Production Backups

VialTrace Production Backups is a private, operator-managed integration designed to store encrypted Vial Trace SaaS backup packages in an authorised operator's Google Drive and retrieve them for integrity checks and controlled recovery. It uses rclone with a dedicated Google OAuth Desktop client.
This integration is being configured and verified. Production backup connectivity, independent recovery custody and end-to-end recovery acceptance are not yet complete. This page does not provide a public sign-in, customer registration or access to the Vial Trace application or its backup files.
How the integration is designed to work
An authorised backup operator grants Google Drive access through Google's own consent process. The backup process encrypts approved backup packages before uploading them to a production-only Drive folder. Authorised operators can then check the uploaded encrypted files, download them and use separately controlled recovery material in a supervised recovery procedure.
The approved operating model calls for encrypted off-site backups twice daily, approximately midday and night, plus an additional verified backup before production releases or changes. Normal backup retention is 30 days from each backup's creation timestamp, with explicitly designated longer-retention exceptions. Scheduling and pruning have not been activated. These are approved policy decisions, not proof of completed backups, automated retention or recovery.
Google Drive permissions
The integration requests only this Drive permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file
The intended use is to create and manage the integration's backup files and folders. This is not a request for full-Drive access or access to Gmail messages, contacts or calendars. It is an operator backup connection, not a requirement for every Vial Trace customer to connect a Google account.
Privacy and control
Google access credentials are intended to be held in protected configuration, not collected through this website. Do not send passwords, OAuth tokens, recovery identities, MFA codes or backup files to the public contact address.
The Google account owner can revoke the integration's authorisation in their Google Account third-party connections settings. Revocation does not by itself delete files already stored in Drive.
